- Food photos — when you choose to analyze a meal, the image is temporarily processed to return nutrition estimates.
- Usage data — anonymous analytics such as page visits and scan counts, used to operate and improve the service.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or phone number to use the free tier.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To analyze food photos and return estimated calorie and macronutrient values.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse.
- To improve the accuracy of our AI models (anonymized).
4. AI Processing & Data Retention
Food photos are processed by our AI model to generate nutrition estimates. Images are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete, except where required by law or to resolve a specific technical issue (in which case they are deleted promptly afterwards).
5. Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare to host and serve our application. Cloudflare may process request data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

The calorie and macronutrient values returned by SnapCal are AI-generated estimates only. They are provided for general informational purposes and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or registered dietitian before making dietary decisions, especially if you have a medical condition, allergy, or specific nutritional requirement.
7. Your Choices
You may stop using the service at any time. Because we do not require an account, there is no personal data to delete on your behalf. If you believe we have retained information about you, contact us and we will remove it.
